The Civil Society Consultation agenda will be to prepare CSO input in relation to the items of the FAO European Regional Conference. During the Consultation, representatives will also discuss means to best facilitate meaningful FAO civil society cooperation on a national level in Europe and Central Asia within the regional initiative framework.
In order to ensure the balanced participation of different groups, regions and sectors, a strict quota system will be applied. Priority for participation and use of funds will be given to representatives from across different constituencies (smallholder farmers, landless agricultural workers, fishers and fish workers, pastoralists and herders, forest dwellers, ethnic minorities and indigenous people, urban poor, consumers, NGOs, women and youth) along with geographic and other gender considerations.
Working languages of the meetings will be English, French, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.

If you would like to be considered to participate in the regional CSO Consultation, please contact Olcay Bingol on behalf of the Steering Committee ([email protected]) by 31th March, 2016.
